One of our exciting clients is seeking a seasoned Business Development professional with a proven track record in implementing sales strategies within the financial services sector, specifically in payments to join their team. This role involves working closely with the management team to execute and expand their sales strategy in the UK market. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in sales strategy implementation for financial institutions, a robust understanding of the UK market, and a strong network of connections in the payments and e-commerce space.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Implementation:

  • Collaborate with the management team to implement and execute the sales strategy for the financial services sector, focusing on payments.
  • Drive initiatives to achieve revenue targets and enhance market presence

Partnership Development:

  • Identify, establish, and manage partnerships in the UK market and internationally, including direct clients, ISO and SaaS partnerships, banking partners, payment infrastructure providers, and other 3rd party relationships.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to drive business growth.

Market Knowledge and Connections:

  • Leverage your substantial knowledge of the UK market to identify business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Utilize your existing database of well-established connections and partnerships to enhance the company’s market position.

E-commerce Expertise:

  • Apply your e-commerce experience to understand client needs and tailor solutions that align with industry requirements.
  • Provide insights into market demands and work collaboratively with internal teams for product enhancements

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales strategy implementation within a financial institution, with a focus on payments
  • Extensive knowledge of the UK market and a proven track record of successful business development.
  • A strong network of connections and partnerships within the payments and e-commerce industry.
  • Previous experience working in a start-up environment (Ideally, but not a necessity)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
