Technical Product Owner

The client is a well-established business within the iGaming field who is setting up a new payments company and they are in need of a Technical Product Owner who can link up the external platform provider and the business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong Financial Services background with a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work closely with product managers, software engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize product features and requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including functional specifications, system architecture diagrams, API documentation, and user manuals, to ensure clear communication of product requirements and features to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure they have a clear understanding of product requirements and priorities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to inform product strategy and decision-making.
  • Work closely with the business to understand business requirements and translate these into technical implementation tasks.
  • Lead the delivery and implementation of technical projects using agile methodologies
  • Liaise with 3rd party providers to ensure the successful implementation of technical projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a product owner, product manager, system analyst, or related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Understanding how databases are structured and the ability to write queries.
  • Knowledge of process modelling notations, such as IDEF and BPMN
  • Proficiency in using Unified Modeling Language (UML)
  • Solid understanding of client-server architecture.
  • Experience in developing or working with client-server applications
  • Knowledge of APIs, RESTful services, and microservices.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, including Scrum.
