Our client, an established Multi-Service B2B Payments company, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will focus on requirement gathering, process improvement, testing, and ensuring seamless collaboration between internal teams and external clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to take charge when necessary to drive projects forward. This is a Hybrid position based in Malta.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business requirements for new projects, features, and process improvements.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication of requirements and project goals.
- Conduct detailed process analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user stories, workflows, and process maps, using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Support the development and testing teams by clarifying requirements, providing feedback, and validating solutions to ensure they meet business needs.
- Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure deliverables align with business objectives and quality standards.
- Work closely with external clients to understand their needs, provide updates on project progress, and manage expectations effectively.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks, and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the fintech or technology sector.
- Strong proficiency in Jira and Confluence for managing and documenting requirements.
- A good understanding of SQL is preferred but not essential.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and confidently to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong-headed and assertive personality, with the confidence to set expectations and demand accountability when necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and manage multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies and an understanding of agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban is a plus.
